sebastian.kallabis@uni-bonn.deSebastian obtained his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Cologne in 2014. During his Master's program, he shifted his focus to mass spectrometry and proteomics and joined Prof. Dr. Marcus Krueger's Lab at the same university. There, he developed a novel proteomics method to analyze individual muscle fibers using LC-MS. Following the completion of his Master's studies in 2017, Sebastian pursued a Ph.D. in Prof. Krueger's Lab with a research focus on deciphering insulin-dependent protein interaction networks in brown adipocytes. He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis in January 2022. In December 2021, Dr. Kallabis joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Felix Meissner as the leading mass spectrometry specialist. His main tasks include creating new proteomics techniques, implementing cutting-edge methodologies, and supporting research scientists in their proteomics projects. In May 2023, Sebastian began working as the Facility Manager of the Translational Proteomics Core Facility at the University Hospital Bonn.
