I studied biology in my bachelors and proceeded to pursue the master’sprogram “Integrated Immunology” at the Friedrich-Alexander UniversityErlangen-Nürnberg. After I finished my studies, I joined the lab of Prof. Felix Meissner in Bonn to do my PhD in the field of innate immunity. I am currently working on deciphering intercellular communication in the immune system and intracellular immune pathways that lead to activation of innate immune cells. My studies aim at improving our understanding of overshooting immune responses e.g. after sterile surgery.
I like riding my bike, playing piano and spending time with friends.
