I come from Slovenia, where I did my BSc in Biotechnology at University of Ljubljana. In 2017 I first came to Germany to do an Erasmus+ internship in the Liesz lab in Munich. One year later I started my masters in Human Biology at Ludwig-Maximilian University and finished it with a master thesis in the group of Dr. Corinne Benakis. Meissner lab was perfect choice for my PhD, since immunology has been my main interest for a long time. In my projects I am focusing on cell death as well as liver inflammation by high fat diet in mice.
When I am not in the lab, you will find me singing in a choir or outdoors with my friends. On a good weekend I sometimes hop on a bus to visit my home in Slovenia.
